Constipation during pregnancy: The reason is out

During pregnancy if constipation beleaguers you then don’t panic, as its quite natural, claims researchers after analyzing around 103 women, in their first trimester of pregnancy. Despite the fact that pregnant women widely face constipation, research conducted over this issue is just nominal. However, the findings of this study provide a sneak into the whole issue. During the course of latest study followings facts came to the fore:- • 24 % reported constipation during their first trimester. • 26 percent had constipation during the second trimester. • 16% had constipation during their third trimester. • 24% had constipation during the first 3 months after they gave birth. Experts believe that breast-feeding and other postpartum factors play significant role in affecting bowel function after pregnancy. Interestingly, women having iron supplements were found 3.5% more susceptible to constipation, while compared to those without these supplements.
